What can I say, This Kid is Awesome!
I was so excited for fall to come this year. As a photographer, it is our go time! But as with all things in 2020 it was looking like fall was going to be a great disappointment. The smoke from California came rolling in and defused the light from the sun. This little bit of absents of light was enough to trick the leave that it was time to start changing. But it was not. The problem was of course is it was not cold enough to aid in the metamorphoses to glorious colors that fall brings into our lives. The leave instead of looking awe-inspiring was looking more like mud. I honestly thought fall was going to be a big dud.
But then something started to happen. We had a second wave of just could enough nights to start making the sap in the leaves stop flowing and thereby making some of the trees stand out. God ended up blessing us anyway this year in 2020. He is so good.
And He is so good in many ways we cannot always see. For instance, normally I capture fall in a more epic fashion. I like to try and step back and capture the big landscapes. But this year most of the trees that fill those landscapes were looking less than desirable. God’s goodness forced me to look up one day as I was praying. When I looked up the tree in my yard was filtering the light from the warm sun. It was so pretty. It felt to me as if I were putting my face against a stained glass window on a warm sunny day while squinting my eyes to transform the colors into a kaleidoscope of reds and oranges. I just had to capture it. I had to capture the beauty God had graciously provided for us this year.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy it.
I recently went on a road trip to Eastern Washington with my church youth group to go to summer camp. On the way home from having a great time with them I manage to cram a 6 hr road trip into 12hr of stopping and capturing the Landscape on my Mamiya rz67 pro II film camera and using Kodak Portra 400 film.
Some of the shots are a little blurry. This was not done on purpose. Opps. even us pros make mistakes. It is do to the result of what we film photographers call a happy accident. I had some of my setting wrong and didn’t realize it until about halfway through the first roll of film. I still like the results though so I thought I would share them with you. Let me know what you think.
Thank you for looking and for sharing. Hope you enjoyed my quick little trip through the Farmlands of my state
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kayla and Stefan Behner. May god bless you and your marriage from now and forever.

This Wedding was awesome. It was a dream/bucket list of a wedding for me to photograph. This remarkable couple love the look of black and white film and wanted there wedding day to be documented on it That is where I come in as a photographer who prefers to still use the medium of film to create his art. At one point I had up to three film cameras on me saving this once in a lifetime memory. This couples wedding was so beautiful not only from the aesthetic point of view, but most importantly of all because of the way they were able to give the message of God’s love for us through the message that their preacher was able to give Infront of them and all of those who came to witness this union.
The following Photos are the complete story of their wonderful day.
Thank you for looking!
